Museum Assistant – Full-Time Position

 

The Besser Museum is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative full-time Museum Assistant to join our team! If you’re passionate about arts, history, science, and providing exceptional service to museum visitors of all ages, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily operations and museum programs

• Engage with visitors to provide an educational and enjoyable experience

• Help with setting up and breaking down exhibits, events, and educational programs

• Provide support for special projects and museum initiatives

• Assist with administrative tasks and clerical duties as needed

• Handle museum inventory, assist with collections care, and maintain spaces

Qualifications:

• Interest in arts, history, science, and museum education

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong computer and social media skills

• Flexible, positive attitude with the ability to handle a variety of tasks

• Prior museum, customer service, or educational experience is a plus but not required
